#53 – Balancing Training & Racing

Plenty of results to talk about including some impressive female performances at IM Lake Placid, IM UK and the ITU World Long Course Championships.

We also took the time this week to get some training advice. First, Macca talks about how to manage your training and racing in season and how you can actually use races to find form. We also then discuss the difference between motivation and accountability and how Macca managed to train when he wasn’t motivated. These are tips that all athletes, age group or pro can use to improve.

We answer some questions from the MaccaX community and make some more announcements including another addition to the coaching staff.
